Why this guide exists
The Nashik Kumbh comes once every twelve years, and for most people who attend, it's a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Yet good, honest, up-to-date information is surprisingly hard to find — dates get muddled, advice is generic, and a lot of what's online is written by people who have never stood at Ramkund on a Snan morning.
We built Nashik Kumbh Guide to fix that. One place, kept current, with straight answers about the dates, the ghats, getting here, staying safe, and planning a trip that actually works for your family.
What we believe
- Local knowledge beats a brochure. We're on the ground in Nashik, so the advice you get is what we'd give our own relatives.
- Honesty over the hard sell. If a quieter Parva Snan suits your elders better than the main royal bath, we'll say so — even if it's the simpler trip.
- Devotion first. Our job is to take the logistics off your plate so you can focus on the darshan.
- Clarity always. No invented dates, no vague promises. If we don't know something yet, we say so.
The people behind it
What we do
Alongside the free information across this site, we help pilgrims directly:
- Plan and book stays close to the ghats
- Arrange transport, transfers and Mela-day routes
- Provide local guides and Snan assistance through our tour packages
- Keep you updated on the official Shahi Snan dates as they're confirmed
A note on independence
Nashik Kumbh Guide is an independent guide and travel-assistance service. We are not the government Mela authority, and for official administrative notices you should always also refer to the authority's announcements. We link to and summarise those here so you have everything in one place.
